Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester Concert Shows Power of Music

Just two weeks ago, a terrorist attack during an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester left 23 dead and 119 injured. However, the music community is combatting that act of hatred. Last night, Grande put together a benefit concert for the victims of the bombing.

The concert, called One Love Manchester, was a wild success. Not only was it packed with stars, the atmosphere of positivity in the face of terrorism was overwhelming. Everyone there was prepared to stand their ground and defend their rights. Tickets for the show sold out in just six minutes, but one section was reserved for attendees of Ariana Grande’s original concert. All in all, the event ended up raising over $3 million in support of the victims.

Just hours before the show, another terrorist attack struck in London. A van drove through a crowd of people on London Bridge and the attacker fled the scene carrying a hunting knife. Seven people died and dozens wound up injured. However, even that didn’t deter the One Love Manchester musicians from taking a stand.
