The concert, called One Love Manchester, was a wild success. Not only was it packed with stars, the atmosphere of positivity in the face of terrorism was overwhelming. Everyone there was prepared to stand their ground and defend their rights. Tickets for the show sold out in just six minutes, but one section was reserved for attendees of Ariana Grande’s original concert. All in all, the event ended up raising over $3 million in support of the victims.
Just hours before the show, another terrorist attack struck in London. A van drove through a crowd of people on London Bridge and the attacker fled the scene carrying a hunting knife. Seven people died and dozens wound up injured. However, even that didn’t deter the One Love Manchester musicians from taking a stand.
Joining Ariana Grande were the likes of Liam Gallagher, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams. But the fans who turned up to the show were the real inspiration.
