When appearing on the Late Show with James Corden, the host asked her who the last person she pranked was.
“Kesha,” the model responded. “She was sleeping on the top floor with the Haim sisters and they were all in this kind of creepy area of the house. And they’d been watching murder mysteries all day. So me, Ruby Rose and Uzo [Aduba] decided to become a ghost crew and started making this massive plot to scare the crap out of them basically.”
And it was indeed massive. The trio got creative in an attempt to make the jest authentic.
“We got torches, speakers, we did sound effects. We were gonna do like rocking chairs with bits of thread outside,” Cara Delevingne explained as she motioned that they wanted to make the chairs rock on their own. “I mean, we were full in. We waited until they were asleep at about 4:00 a.m.”
Just to be safe, “We told Taylor and Tom [Hiddleston] because the security is massive and we didn’t want to get shot in America.”
Their prank was certainly effective. In fact, it was so realistic that the police nearly had to come to Swift’s mega-mansion to rescue the girls.
“It took a bit of a turn for the worse,” Delevingne explained. “They basically they nearly called the police. Which is funny because I’m like, I love that you would call the police if you think that there’s a ghost outside your house. That’s why there should be real ghostbusters just in case.”
So is there any bad blood over the terrorizing evening?
“It went on for about two hours and they never forgave us. We still aren’t talking now,” the model said before explaining that she was joking.
It just goes to show, even in Taylor Swift’s house, you’re never safe from ghosts.
