Though previous years have featured EDM artists like ODESZA and Kygo, it’s rare to see so many popping up in the headlining acts. In fact, Calvin Harris is the first EDM artist to ever hold one of the top three headlining spots.
Other EDM artists performing this year include Snails, Tchami, Flume, Major Lazer, Thomas Jack and The Chainsmokers.
The lineup is still packed with artists of other genres, of course. Other headlining acts include LCD Soundsystem, Guns N’ Roses, Ice Cube, and Sufjan Stevens.

If you’re new to EDM, here are some of the hits to get you pumped up:
- Jack Ü, a relative newcomer that hit the scene at Ultra Music Festival 2015, has rocketed to a headlining spot thanks to members Skrillex and Diplo. Their track “Where Are Ü Now” featuring Justin Bieber hit Billboard’s no. 1 spot on the Dance/Electronic Chart.
- Calvin Harris is no newbie to Coachella, but his headlining spot this year is sure to bring out an even bigger audience. Taylor Swift‘s beau released “How Deep is Your Love” in late 2015 under the moniker Harris & The Disciples.
- Zedd’s dance hit “I Want You To Know” was one of the biggest dance hits of 2015. The track featured Selena Gomez, helping the artist hit a wider audience.
