At a recent concert in Austin, Swift left her show and 39-year-old Frank Andrew Hoover immediately began following her. He went all the way from the venue to the airport, where Taylor Swift was catching a private plane. Hoover got within 25 to 50 feet of the singer’s vehicle, and when her bodyguards asked him what he was doing there, he said he wanted a photo and to “possibly accompany Taylor wherever she goes.”

The situation gets even weirder–Swift had encountered Hoover before and already had a restraining order against him, which he was obviously violating by getting so close to her. He had previously been sending emails to Taylor Swift’s dad from as long ago as August, saying things like, “Without her, I walk the earth alone forever and she’ll continue to experience failed relationships that break her heart.”
Um, ew. Thankfully, the police were able to nab the guy–he was arrested for violating the protective order, which is a felony. Currently he’s being held on a $100,000 bail.
In other Taylor Swift news, she’s supposedly writing new music about exes Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris, so the world will continue to turn on as usual. Apparently it won’t be as scathing as her attack song against Katy Perry, “Bad Blood,” because she’s evidently on good terms with both Harris and Hiddleston, so that’s something new, at least.
