Nikki Lane has had that life. The North Carolina high school drop out ended up in Los Angeles working in fashion, moved to New York, had a bad breakup with a guy, started writing songs, ended up in Nashville and, voila, here she is with her stand out track from her second album “All Or Nothin'” on New West Records.
Inspired by old school country artists like Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard, Lane’s current effort is a welcome throw back to mid-century country and a departure form the slick, overproduced “cow-pop” that currently dominate the country charts.
She’s the kind of girl that drives a GTO, looks great in a leather jacket and isn’t afraid to set a cheating boyfriend’s motorcycle on fire!
