Needless to say, West still can’t let go of the drama. In his most recent insult against the pseudo-innocent Swift, he decided to go straight for the throat at a show he was putting on in her home city of Nashville.
His third song of the evening was “Famous,” which has the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b*tch famous.” On the first pass at the song, West told the audience to shout along with the line about Taylor Swift. Naturally, whatever he demands of his loyal followers, they deliver.
West was so pleased he made the DJ restart the track so they could do it again, saying “I need to hear that loud in Nashville. I need to hear that so loud in Nashville.”
But he still didn’t move on. He had the DJ start it a third time because he just couldn’t get enough. And then a fourth time.
West explained his non-surprising love of controversy and his desire to keep repeating those lyrics from the stage. “So many people told me, ‘You’ve gotta take that line out of the song. You gotta play it safe,'” he said. Naturally, he’s never been one to do what people tell him. In fact, here he did the opposite of that by repeating the line he was supposed to take out louder and louder.
It’s especially funny considering the people at the show were likely made up mostly of residents of Nashville, so clearly they have no hometown pride for
America’s sweetheart liar Taylor Swift.
