Lindsay Lohan Nearly Loses a Finger on ‘Mean Girls’ Day

Can actors get bad karma for doing nasty things in movies? If so, this was definitely Lindsay Lohan‘s time to collect. We’re not saying she at all deserved it, but the starlet nearly lost a finger in a boating accident, and today (October 3) just happens to be Mean Girls Day.

Lindsay Lohan posted a photo on Snapchat showing off a badly bandaged hand with the caption, “I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger… i just had surgery to fix it. It hurts so bad.”

Ouch! She added some commentary on Twitter that makes it sound even more painful.

Double ouch! The injury didn’t seem to kill Lindsay Lohan’s mood too much. She still shared some laughs with a friend over today being Mean Girls Day.

For those who don’t recall, there’s a memorable scene in Mean Girls where Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) recalls the time Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett) asks her what day it is. “It’s October third,” she breathlessly replies.

So why did we mention karma at the beginning of this article? Sure, Cady Heron came around by the end of the movie, but she did some pretty horrible things on the journey. She wrote a lie about their teacher in the burn book, pretends to be bad at math to get closer to Aaron and tricks Regina George (Rachel McAdams) into eating nutrition bars that make her put on weight.

If ever there were a time for karma to come around for a movie character in the infamous teen comedy, Mean Girls Day would be it. Unfortunately for Lindsay Lohan, she just happened to be the unlucky actress who played the role.
