The 51-year-old singer just revealed some very big news. For the first time in over a decade, she’s releasing a brand new album. It’s all kicking off with her new single, “Life’s About to Get Good.”
There’s already a tiny tease of it in a TV spot for the 2018 Winter Olympics, and it sounds like it could be a huge anthem. Though Shania Twain previously mixed her trademark country sound with some pop elements, “Life’s About to Get Good” definitely veers towards the more pop end of the spectrum.
Listen to it here:
Shania Twain appeared on The Voice earlier last month, where she opened up about writing the new track.
“I was at home looking out at the ocean and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out,'” she said. “I’m not in the mood to write a ‘feeling-sorry-for-myself’ song. You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.

The song will be part of her new album, which doesn’t have a title yet. It’s set to launch sometime this September. If it’s anything like her past hits, she’s guaranteed to find success. So far, she’s received five Grammys and even a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Not to mention, she’s the only female artist to ever have three consecutive albums hit diamond status.
And pretty much everyone in history knows the words to “Any Man of Mine,” so that’s got to feel good.
