“Over the last six years, I have been dealing with a sex addiction,” the rocker revealed in a statement. Six years is a long time to be battling any sort of addiction, but goodness knows the effect a sex addition can have on a marriage.
Osbourne finally admitted to his addiction after his mistress, Michelle Pugh, did an interview with People magazine. In the article, she claims she and Ozzy had really been in love for four years.
However, Ozzy came clean about that relationship as well, and disagreed with what Pugh said. “I’m sorry if Ms. Pugh took our sexual relationship out of context. I’d also like to apologize to the other women I have been having sexual relationships with.”
Of course, his wife is also due an apology, and Ozzy delivered. “I am mortified at what my behavior has done to my family. I thank God that my incredible wife is at my side to support me.”
Sharon Osbourne got emotional on her television show The Talk when discussing the matter.
“I can’t speak for him, but for me, you know, I forgive,” she said. “It’s going to take a long time to trust, but we’ve been together for 36 years, 34 of marriage, and it’s more than half of my life.”
She also added that his infidelity wouldn’t go unpunished. “I just can’t think of my life without him. Even though he is a dog. He’s a dirty dog,” she stated. “So there we are. He’s going to pay big.”
