Since Prince’s death in April, statements have varied on what caused the musician’s death. Now reports have stated that members of his team contacted an addiction specialist the day before he died.
Reportedly, specialist Dr. Howard Kornfield could not get from his location in California to Minnesota, so his son Andrew took a red-eye flight to Minnesota. Andrew was to give Prince a health evaluation and persuade him to enter treatment.
Unfortunately, when Andrew arrived on April 21, he was already too late. In fact, he was the one who found the musician unresponsive in an elevator and placed the 911 call.
Attorney William Mauzy, who works for the Kornfields, said Andrew was carrying medication used to treat opiate addiction with him. Mauzy also stated the Kornfields were called on April 20 to help with “a grave medical emergency.”
The autopsy has been completed, but results have not been determined yet.Read more to get the story so far:
