According to Roy, her personal emails were hacked in an attempt to search for personal information.
A source close to the designer said, “Rachel has confided to friends about the stolen emails. She has no idea how they’ve been swiped, but is aware of how much harm they can cause. She fears the spotlight will be well and truly back on her, Jay Z and Beyonce if these conversations end up online.”

We can only guess what conversations Rachel Roy wanted to remain hidden. In the meantime, Roy contacted the police to report that her Gmail and iCloud accounts were hacked. In her report she specifically mentioned an Instagram post captioned “Good hair don’t care” that drew the attention of Beyonce’s rabid fans.
The LAPD obtained a warrant to look into phone and internet records, and they too believe Beyonce’s fans had something to do with the hack.
