White and Zawaideh had been friends for years, and created the band Bad Things along with some of their other friends. Their first performance was in 2013, and they even launched an album in 2014.
However, being an Olympic gold medalist doesn’t give you leave to act like a total jerk. According to Zawadeih, who plays drums in the band, Shaun White has been sexually harassing her for years. White, who has been the lead guitarist of Bad Things, evidently had been accosting her through grotesque imagery and videos.
According to Zawadeih’s lawyer, some of the things White did included sending her photos of erect penises, making her watch videos “sexualizing human fecal matter” and watching a video of a couple killing a bear and then having sex on top of the dead body.
Just a couple of the weird texts White sent to his bandmate.
His behavior wasn’t just limited to videos and photos. He also put his hands down his pants and then tried to get Zawaideh to smell them. Furthermore, he tried to control what she was wearing and how she styled herself.
