Taylor Swift Behind Schedule on New Music, Steps Out of Spotlight to Save Image

Once you get fans used to your routine, it can be disappointing to shake them up with delays. Taylor Swift‘s fans found that out the hard way when the CEO of her record label gave them a big fat “NOPE.”

Too bad, so sad, fans.

Swift has been putting out albums every two years in either October or November since 2006. She started out with her self-titled album Taylor Swift and followed up systematically with Fearless, Speak Now, Red and 1989.

Scott Borchetta, CEO of Swift’s label Big Machine Records, crushed fans’ dreams of a new 2016 album coming out soon with one simple word. When a fan asked him if she would be releasing some new tunes this year, he simply responded, “NOPE.”

While Swift’s fans were heartbroken, it may end up being a wise move for the pop star. Lately, she’s been spending a little too much time in the public eye, and not always for the best reasons.
