Thankfully, it seems like he’s definitely brewing up something good. Reznor and Atticus Ross, who frequently works with Reznor, hopped onto Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show to talk about their new work. They didn’t give much away, but at least it’s a little glimpse at something.
“We’ve been working on Nine Inch Nails stuff,” Reznor said simply. “Things are going good, and when we have something that we think is excellent we will unleash it upon the world.”
At least Nine Inch Nails isn’t going to be releasing music just to release music. When they put something out, you know it will be interesting or at the very least have a unique inspiration behind it.
Reznor and Ross, along with Mogwai and Gustavo Santaolalla, an Argentine film composer, also had some new non-Nine Inch Nails work released yesterday. They just launched their soundtrack for Leonardo DiCaprio‘s movie Before the Flood.
Before the Flood was produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way. It’s a documentary feature about climate change that will air on the National Geographic Channel on October 30. Because what’s scarier than climate change for Halloween, right?
