Visconti, who had worked with David Bowie for many years, has been active in the music industry since the late 1960s.
In a recent interview, the producer stated stated, “You turn the radio on and it’s fluff. You are listening to 90 per cent computerized voices. We know Adele has a great voice but it’s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much it has been manipulated. We don’t know.”
Adele fired back at a recent live show. The songstress told fans, “Some d*ckhead tried to say that my voice was not me on record.” She wrapped up with a concise message for Visconti: “Dude, suck my d*ck.”
Her message got through to Visconti, who immediately issued an apology via Billboard magazine.
“I’m sorry that what I said in regard to what’s being played on radio was misconstrued, yet I cannot apologize for something taken the wrong way,” he said. “If Adele has taken my comments as offensive that was certainly not my intent. Adele has a great voice and it brings pleasure to millions.”
