Bobby Newberry has worked as a choreographer for many of our favorite music groups. From the Pussycat Dolls to Lil Wayne and Missy Elliot, he has practiced many diverse styles and proven to be excellent at it all. In fact, he worked on the video for the Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up,” which wound up taking home the Best Dance Video award at the VMAs in 2008.
Amazingly, Newberry was mostly self-taught when it came to dancing. He grew up in an underprivileged household in California, where he jumped right into dancing from a young age. His passion never wavered, and he worked his way up to working with the likes of Brian Friedman, who choreographed routines for Britney Spears.
Now, Bobby Newberry is working on bringing his smooth dance skills to his own music. He just released his first single off his new EP music vessel. Titled “Met You In Egypt,” it’s no surprise that he’s got an insanely cool music video to go with it. The video for “Met You In Egypt” features Newberry and Allison Holker from Dancing With the Stars. Obviously, the choreography is incredible and adds a lot to the glamorous look of the video.
