British rockers Bastille formed London in back in 2010. Amazingly, in just four short years then ended up a Coachella. Talk about a wild ride. The band began as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith before filling out the roster with Chris Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons.
The name of the band comes from the French holiday Bastille Day, which also happens to fall on Smith’s birthday (July 14th).
Here’s one of the best indie songs of the year – “Bad Blood” – performed live at Coachella on April 18th, 2014
