Melissa McCarthy Turns ‘Colors Of The Wind’ Into Glitter Tornado

It appears Jimmy Fallon made a huge mistake in challenging Melissa McCarthy to a lip sync battle. The actress nearly literally blew Fallon away with her rendition of “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas.

Pillow Talk, indeed. Jimmy Fallon cozied up to a pillow onstage.

Fallon and McCarthy duked it out onstage by lip syncing two songs each. Fallon opened with “Brand New Key” by Melanie, and McCarthy raised the stakes by donning a black baseball cap and getting dirty with “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” by DMX.

In round two, Fallon turned on the sex appeal by cuddling up with a pillow on the floor of the stage and pseudo-crooning Zayn Malik’s “Pillowtalk.”

Unfortunately, he didn’t stand a chance against McCarthy’s closing number “Colors of the Wind.” McCarthy returned to the stage after Fallon’s “Pillowtalk” performance wearing safety goggles, which left no doubt that the actress meant business.

As the track started, a forest background was revealed…but as the song built, so did the items entering the stage. With each animal McCarthy mentioned, a stuffed animal of the same type was launched at her, followed by copious amounts of leaves and glitter.

Suddenly McCarthy’s safety goggles made perfect sense. Fallon hunched on the edge of the stage during McCarthy’s performance, either doubled over in laughter or simply avoiding the onslaught.

Is it even a question who came out the winner? Unlikely. Way to go, Melissa McCarthy.
