“Music has nosedived into f—— blandness. A sea of cheese.” – Noel Gallagher
One-time Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher has criticized Adele and her songs, describing them as “music for grannies”.
Speaking to Music Feeds, via The Telegraph, Gallagher was asked about Adele and did not hold back with his opinions. “If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll fucking tell them… I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. I don’t like her music. I think it’s music for fucking grannies.”
Adele’s ’25’ recently broke the Official UK Album Chart record for the fastest million-selling album. It replaced Oasis album ‘Be Here Now’ as the fastest selling album in UK Chart history.
However, the famously caustic Gallagher did add that he would prefer to talk about music he actually likes. “It is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go.
Lately, the one I’ve been asked about is Adele.”
Well, at least we know who Adele won’t be calling over the holidays!
